Neolithic – Sick (At All) | Smooth R&B

Neolithic is an American-based R&B and Hip Hop artist. Having written and performed in multiple events with the four-piece band Nobody’s Heroes, he has decided to work on his solo music. This has allowed Neolithic to explore, what he calls, flavours. He welcomes you to his music by describing himself as an aspiring music hippie.

Sick (At All) has a very strong FKJ and Masego vibe to it. Working with SoloTheProducer, Neolithic has crafted a track with expert use of different tones and atmospheres. With a very Impressionist vibe going on, the track uses the piano as a more percussive than a melodic instrument. The Foley percussion stands out, giving you this ASMR effect, but is accentuated by the piano. The piano, while not the star of the track, clearly sets the vibe for the song. Neolithic’s vocals are as smooth as ever. His voice reminds me of Ne-Yo, Nelly and Chris Brown. I must go on to say that the production quality is so tight. SoloTheProducer has done a brilliant job with this mix.

I, personally, really enjoy the track as a whole. The instrumental sample sounds so relaxing, keeping the vibes flowing while Neo hits us with some soulful vocals. I can’t tell you how good this track is. It feels so therapeutic to just give in to the smoothness of everything.
