Guild Theory bring a prog-rock hysteria to truth with their single, “Indignant Swines”

Guild Theory is one of those projects you could construct in your dreams. A remote confluence of two talented musicians Matt Smith and Rob Lewis, the two have been creating some amazing prog-rock with influences far and wide. Their latest single has a touch of their own signature with their heroes, in a song that shames the greed. This is called Indignant Swines.

This is fine, explorative rock at its best. The production work is incredible for an indie band, finding the exact niche where all of this lies in balance. The vocals are similar in stature to MJKs in A Perfect Circle, with the varying time signatures keeping your attention within a box. The mysterious melodies keep teasing you towards what can be false releases into the chorus.

Layers to be explored: Guild Theory

Guild Theory keeps you guessing, they are like a chant, especially when the vocal harmonies come in. Guitar elements have a contrast and comparison with soft, buzzing tones as well as distortion laced moments. Pay attention to their clever lyrics, and you will see why refined artistic nuances influence their musicality. It is an incredible song, something expected from this talented duo, yet pushing their invisible envelope slowly outwards.
