Katasha J – A Cup Of Serenade | As Pleased As Punch

Katasha J is a singer, songwriter, and pianist from Toronto, Canada. Katasha’s music is a blend of soul, and R&B, with a classical twist, thanks to her training at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Katasha was exposed to the music of Mariah Carey, Brandy, and Stevie Wonder at a young age, and these singers have had a big influence on her music. She began playing the piano at a very young age, and her classical background gives her a unique edge. Local jazz musicians trained Katasha vocally from age 10, and she often incorporated the piano into her songs. She is a unique artist with a great talent for writing and performing catchy and soulful songs.

Katasha has released a new album, “ A Cup Of Serenade.” Katasha’s intro song, “Coming Back,” is a total bop! It’s got Ariana Grande-esque vibes, and the beats are super catchy. Plus, Katasha’s voice is purely angelic.

With its sassy vibes and catchy beat, “U Know Me” is sure to get you up and moving. But what really sets “U Know Me” apart is Katasha’s vocal delivery. Throughout the song, she seamlessly switches between different vocal styles and inflections, giving the track a unique and engaging sound. Trust me; once you hear it, you won’t be able to get it out of your head.

“Vinyl” starts with some simple acoustic guitar riffs before Katasha’s voice comes in. And what a voice it is! She has a wonderfully soothing tone that wraps around you like a warm blanket. The musical arrangement is also top-notch. It’s paced perfectly, and the addition of little touches here and there – like the vocal effects – make it even more engaging.

“Mr Jones” is a perfect mix of energy and melody, with a mellow vibe. It’s so easy and breezy that it does not require much explaining. Everything is just perfect. The arrangement holds well and doesn’t jump at you too much. I was seriously impressed with the quality of the composition and how it was executed.

“If It Goes Well” is a more upbeat song and is very catchy. I like the way Katasha makes sure that it is naturally fun. The lyrics seem very simple, but it gets to keep you hooked, leaving you wanting to hear more.

“Reminisce” is a mixture of a consistent beat and guitar strumming that matches the style of the song. The melody is very complex but easy to remember. There are many different tones used in this song that all come together to create something more than just another typical tune. The lyrics in particular, stand out because they take an emotive approach with very meaningful words.

“Tender Touch” has enough energy to keep you moving but also pulls in a tender touch of sweetness. The vocals are clean and powerful. Katasha’s vocals melt into your soul and make you want to dance around your living room.

The last song, “Serenade,” takes you on a joyful ride. When the song starts, it lets you imagine what life would be like if you lived in a paradise filled with happiness, rest, and peace. The song makes you want to sing along and make your soul dance.

There is more to this album than meets the eye. Its ambiance has been crafted with care and craftsmanship, offering a glimpse into an alternate world filled with a sense of wonder, mystery, and beauty. I loved every minute of it.
