Cielo Pordomingo – Mil Flores | Violet Delight

Cielo Pordomingo the phenomenal alternative indie artist has come up with her latest single Mil Flores. She hails from Argentina. while she is settled in Queretaro, Mexico since 2003. She won the Emmy Award for Composition & Musical Arrangements for the TV show Atencion Atencion in Puerto Rico, in 2014. The song Mil Flores is the third single from her upcoming fourth studio album BLINKERLAND.

The song has accordiony and pipey horn section sounding synths used to great effect to establish a hook that sounds cascading, intriguing, and joyful at the same time. Mil Flores makes great use of a stunning orchestral arrangement by Cielo Pordomingo with Gustavo Mozzi. An arrangement that features great playing by Leo Heras on the clarinet and María Martha Ferreryra on the bassoon. Manuel Schaller on the mixing, mastering, and arrangement does a phenomenal job balancing all the elements. Of course, at the centre of it all is the daring innovation and master arranger, composer, lyricist, songwriter, and vocal choir arranger that is Cielo. Bright like the sky!

A visually catchy music video with Cielo Pordomingo singing the song on a blue background. This is while a variety of interesting nature themed animations are occurring in the backdrop. Mil Flores in Spanish means a thousand flowers. The title is an apt description for the scope of the sound that Cielo is attempting to achieve. Much like a great revolutionary thinker might have said “Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred expressions of music contend.” And Mil Flores achieves just that.
