Times and fashions may change, but one thing remains constant: the value of a good pop hook. Brodie Baldwin is dedicated to crafting perfect choruses that work their way into the bloodstream and endure for years to come. That’s a beautiful thing actually. It is literally the purpose of art! To immortalize the artist’s work so they can live on forever in the memory of their art. Brodie Baldwin is on that road and she will live on forever – because I don’t think it’ll be easy to forget this hook!
Brodie Baldwin is an Australian, Sydney based indie pop artist. She is famous for her emotive lyrics, but this singer songwriter has some beautiful strings and dreamy synths that go so perfectly with her angelic voice. She has drawn influence from artist such as Lorde, Dodie etc and you can clearly see how this has shaped her sound into something new and unique just to Brodie!
“Won’t be me” is a very intimate single that Brodie has just released and it features a wonderful hook that just permeates my very being to give me goosebumps on the inside of my body. Absolutely stunning voice, accompanied by beautiful strings and synths that just take this track right into the bloodstream. Its one of those tracks that just sink you into a feeling of comfortable melancholy, while also bringing a smile to your face. The definition of Pop music – hats off to Brodie.
Not only is her voice angelic, the vocal delivery and clarity of each word is impeccable. And I can’t stop talking about the hook! Amazing! I can’t get it out of my head and especially the strings that follow the hook are just what you need on a warm sunny morning to just get your day to be so much better.
