There’s no doubt that Proklaim is a bit of a house favourite here, with his consistent pace of putting out material, each time bettering himself in one or the other aspect– and that does not stop with his latest, “Civil”– keep reading for my thoughts!
In trademark Proklaim style, the song is laid back and chill from the beginning to the end, with a lot of African percussion and reggaeton elements being present in the mix from the first bar, with this time, the brass playing excellent support roles throughout this song.

The verses showcase technically impressive passages with excellent rhymes that go beyond conventional boundaries in terms of syllabic rhyming. They frequently extend across multiple lines, featuring a compound scheme that adds an extra layer of pizzazz to the delivery. Proklaim’s voice, too, adds to the atmosphere with its soothing yet direct timbre, a rare combination indeed.
The production, of course, remains a standout as with many of Proklaim’s tracks, with a defining element on “Civil” being the low-end work. The bass and percussion work excellently together and come to create a cohesive, engaging atmosphere of sound that remains stuck in your head, as you listen to it over and over again.
“Vamos” by Proklaim: This man just gets better and better at rap every day!
So, “Civil” by Proklaim: a winning streak continues with this one! Proklaim has been hard at work in the studio, and it shows, rather well if I may say so myself. Check the track out here:
