As she matured, her musical horizons broadened, leading her to explore diverse genres. In June 2018, she discovered the ukulele and was captivated by its unique sound and versatility. Determined to master it, Maaike taught herself to play, blending her classical piano foundation with influences from flamenco. Her ukulele arrangements reflect a fusion of rhythmic flamenco elements and the melodic intricacies of Eastern music, creating a mesmerizing instrumental artistry that evokes a range of emotions.
