Ava Valianti Turns the Idea of Fame Into Something Personal on “celebrity”

American singer-songwriter and actress Ava Valianti released celebrity in September 2026, the first single from her upcoming third EP, kismet. At 17, Ava has already earned First Runner-Up honors in American Songwriter’s Road Ready Talent Contest, a 2026 Unsigned Only Music Awards Runner-Up recognition, and nominations from the Boston and New England Music Awards. She has also performed at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles and earned over 650,000 streams and airplay across 300+ radio stations. This new release brings jazz and R&B influences into her evolving sound, while turning the idea of fame around and making someone else the celebrity in her eyes.

celebrity opens with a little hazy bedroom-pop sound, the vocals floating around and feeling draggy, like a silk cloth moving across the floor and taking the shape of whatever it moves across.

“You swim in my bloodstream…without you it’s a bad dream,” makes the person feel like they have become part of them. The track is really about idolizing someone you love and seeing them as your own personal celebrity. Lines like, “You call me pretty 2am Super Bowl Sunday,” bring that feeling into an ordinary moment, while, “you step onto the carpet, smile for the pictures…everyone’s favorite person in the world,” turn them into this larger-than-life figure.

Meanwhile, the percussion keeps the rhythm surprisingly fast but the vocals control how the song actually feels. The synth textures and hazy production keep everything soft and dreamy, almost like you are watching everything happen through a fogged-up window. Finally, the track doesn’t just idolize the perfect version of them, “Stars in my eyes / stars in my head,” and, “idolize your imperfections,” show how everything about this person is something worth loving. The track makes love feel like having your own celebrity, a person who becomes your whole galaxy.
