Great news for J-rock fans! The developers of popular fighting game “Tekken” unveiled an exclusively downloadable content (DLC) collaboration. The DLC adds new characters to its latest game “Tekken 8”. Players can play both as and against their favourite visual Kei artists. The vast range of diverse characters include legends HYDE and GACKT as well as Tatsurou of MUCC, Keisuke of DEVILOOF, and Kyounosuke of Kizu.
Who will be the last rockstar? Find out once and for all. The highly anticipated DLC, released on April 1st, is available on all major gaming platforms. Get ready to get lost into the mesmerizing action packed world of visual Kei “Tekken”!
HYDE vs GACKT: Battle of the J-rock heavyweights!
If you are into HYDE and GACKT mashups, get ready to get your mind blown! The King of the Iron Face tournament sees these J-rock heavywights battling it out in yet another universe. Get ready to witness their unique style and fighting prowess!
If we look into GACKT’s profile, its no wonder that he’s a perfect match for Tekken’s inaugral visual kei collaboration. “Genesis”in Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII is a great example. Looks like GACKT’s unique workout videos paid off in real life as well as the fighting ring! Don’t think of him as some normie. “Senpai in the streets, magnum in the sheets” is how his fighting style goes! No wonder he can lure them fangirls with all those impeccable martial arts moves in his arsenal. Tempt your opponents into the Secret Garden corner trap and then his signature combo finisher, Misera blow! Game Over!
And if we talk about HYDE, well inspite of not having a portfolio of game releases, we can’t argue he is not the ideal counterpart. Yes he can sing, play guitar, distil his own vodka, but “Sex, Blood and Rock n’ Roll” is what he is about. HYDE’s Uppercut Drivers are made to drive the opponent high up the air. Sprinkle it with some Dave Kick and Blue overhead on top and the opponent is sure to go home blurry eyed.

Do NOT forget the other three charcters: Tatsurou (MUCC), Keisuke (DEVILOOF), and Kyounosuke (Kizu). Each of them have their own mechanism and abilities to bring to the ring. While the developers have not revealed all the information in details, when we see the different tiles on the character screen, we can definitely tell each character will bring their own flavor of brutality!
