The Dawn Razor represents a fiery portal that opens up to incredible metal. The artist from France has been able to capture a lost momentum-one that incites passion among fellow creatives and churning desire for listeners to hear more. Their album from 2o24 needs attention for the incredible collection it has been, for presenting far more than the ears deserve along with a newer version of the track. This one is called In Sublime Presence.
Everything about this album captures a forsaken energy. The album opens with Point Nemo, blistering blast beats and a captivating riff opening up the experience. It is surprising to see how quickly The Dawn Razor is able to shift between gruff, guttural vocals in screams to the most melodic proclamations. The rhythm section is packed tight, with no scope of spaced out fillers.
I especially enjoyed the classy and groove metal riff of Refuse Tomorrow. From that movement, you get straight into blast beats that deliver that punch you’re desiring. Another impossible song to head bang to, this has that catapulting energy that makes this album worth it and more. Sylvain Spanu doesn’t hold back in either his compositions or vocals. There is a great contrast the music collects from black metal and the beauty of the romantic era. The Parisian band are at their best-either charging in hot or experimenting when it comes to The Wooden Idol.
This is one of the songs that has that doom metal vibe, while shifting quickly into the black metal thrill. The Dawn Razor focus on the lyrics as well, rather than overdelivering on the gruff distortion to waste away the meaning of the words. When Fiery Dawn comes in, you’re powering through some of their quickest and most intense riffs. The delivery is quick, yet never misses out on the details. Stories and doom tales unite with The Lord and the Crow. The band prove they are more than metal harbingers with this.

Some albums have quick paced deadly numbers to be lethal. The Dawn Razor has melodic portals that represent so much of appreciation of this genre. If you’re on headphones, you know how well the production sounds for the tones they have designed. When even harmonics are played with, they ensure the composition holds great integrity. Powerful presentation of dexterity, skill and love for the genre.
Chiascuro Italiano is your guitar seventh wonder. From technical execution to revelling with the kind of video they have made for the song, there’s a punch to this song I can feel much better now. The video is incredible as well, capturing the energy and theme along with how the band has actually got the zeal of the track. This track has been re-released now with an Italian version that brings a whole degree of authenticity out. Welcome to a fiery paradise:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
