Skar De Line understands the emotions he depicts. The brilliant musician has been known for his industrial gaze brought out in his tunes. The London based artist from Sweden has also made an incredible film for this video that stands out with detail. This one is called The Screen, a dark love story that imbibes all the emotions that have to be presented. He takes all the necessary steps to bring a dystopia so close to our reality, it’s eerie.
The opening itself is harrowing. The melodies are dark, in minor scale, and put you on edge. If you watch the video for this part, it is clear that we’re diving into a dark path. The melodies overlap in a darker setting, piano notes highlighting over the percussion. Though some of the opening verses is spoken word, you can hear the melody prepping itself behind the screen. There are echoing parts that buzz with an emotive layer, making a charging sound. This is the kind of build you’ll want to go for.

I loved the way the chorus has a powerful synth layer, with the explosive riff unravelling as well. The Screen is the kind of track that gives you a chill down the spine. Skar de Line might also remind you of musicians like Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson, who were pioneers of the industrial rock movement. The video releases this Friday, and you’ll see it on this post then.
The Inside musician has made sure the production on this track also matches the amount of effort that would have gone for making the video a reality. Some music is supposed to make you think, feel and wonder about a fictional world. The one Skar de Line presents might be around the corner, nay behind your screen…

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
