I Am The Unicorn Head is a true new gen band. Formed due to Reddit due to common music interests, the implosive explosion of their craft is apparent. They have added a script to dystopia, provided melodies to crushing, self-aware thoughts. Your mind, no matter how weird, is validated with music that is expansive, yet teases the fun side of the balance beam. This is their latest single, The Last Christmas on Earth.
The two-piece alternative band are from US and UK. The festive season that is upcoming seems to be a common thread, among other music they have made. I have personally never thought about the last festival to be celebrated in any region, but it is strangely satisfying. After a monologue of a PSA, you’re treated to the bells of Christmas, and acoustic essence bleeds through. It is a proper rock song, not relying on the doom, but the love that might loom. I mean in the melodies, not the lyrics. As much as you’re enjoying the warm mush of the melodies, the lyrics are the crushing reality of the imminent death that is upon humanity.

This contrast is what makes the band so unique. They could have taken the one angle, but this hilarious take is evident of their zany thoughts and quips embedded into their rhymes. I Am The Unicorn Head is the exciting result of internet humour and all the music that the catalogue of Napster gave us once upon a time.
You can’t avoid listening to it several times. As fun as it is, the melodies do have the choral quality of being so incredibly catchy. Check out the fun video as well, it is completely worth your while. Catch I Am The Unicorn Head on Twitter and Instagram as well!
