DRAG is an Electro-Pop duo based in Bristol. Having been influenced by the British New Wave scene like New Order and The Human League, DRAG creates fast-paced music to keep you on your toes. They create fluidic music with flamboyant and colourful aesthetics. Although they are new to the music scene, they exhibit energy that is sure to catch the attention of a few.
Dracula is very true to the DRAG aesthetic. With a driving rhythm section consisting of heavy drums and a dynamic bass line, the track keeps the listener engaged at all times. There’s this Jazzy rhythm to the track that stands out specifically towards the end of phrases. The vocal work seems effortless but is a little more complicated than it seems. The little percussive elements like clapping and the synth work create a very positive atmosphere in the music. Dracula is the kind of track that gets better with every listen. I find that Dracula has an infectious effect, creeping up on you and making its way into an earworm. It’s a dynamic track with catchy phrases that will stay with you even after one listen.
