Alex Kate is a British singer-songwriter who, after years of composing and being moved by British artists, finally started her solo project. She rapidly established herself as a narrative worth listening to, making poetic excursions that inspire, comfort, or question the current quo by fusing vintage rhythms with otherworldly vocals. She creates imaginary worlds through her music, which she hopes will provide listeners with a place to escape. Her debut EP, Call Me Human, was released in 2021 with positive reviews. It was created during a Zoom session with Heather Crawford, a session guitarist for Jessie Reyez among others, and the artist’s typical composition collaborator. There’s something about this song that just makes you feel happy. It’s optimistic and bouncy, without being too cheesy. It’s the kind of song that can make you forget your troubles and just enjoy the moment. ‘One Plus One‘ is definitely a feel-good hit! This tune will have you singing along in no time. First love is always magical. It’s the time when we feel like we can do anything and everything. The song is charming, enthusiastic, and will definitely put a smile on your face.
