The song “Hysteria” by Abby is one of the most detailed and quirky pop songs. The mood of the song takes the listener on a journey from feeling haunted to ethereal. It has an incredible sonic experience, with a catchy sing-along that makes it hard to resist. For me, it’s the lyrics that intrigued me. The lines “Are you caught up in hysteria, Repeating the news, Are you caught up in hysteria, Do you know what is true” really stuck with me. I mean, it’s so easy to get caught up in the news cycle and just receive what we see and hear without questioning it. That is actually eye-opening, right? “Hysteria” is incredibly well-written and performed, with stunning soundscapes and Abby’s strong and distinctive vocals. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into making this song as impactful as it is. Abby is undeniably a rising star.
