Jade Ashtangini – Arashiyama Bamboo Grove | Spirited Away

Pianist, cellist, and composer Jade Ashtangini brings forth her beautiful new single titled Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Jade is also a yoga practitioner, educator, and photographer. She is based in Dallas and Taiwan. She is classically trained from her childhood and her music is rooted in her spiritual practice.

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove runs for slightly more than two and a half minutes long and leaves you enchanted. This is a sweet piano instrumental song. It has the signature bittersweet nostalgic feel of the beautiful Japanese piano melodies of Hayao Miyazaki movies. The low end of the lower notes, the left hand of the piano balances the sonic feel of the track.

Jade Ashtangini loves Japanese culture like a lot of us. Bamboo is an important theme for Japanese art and music. The song is titled after the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove near Kyoto city in Japan. Thus, the song conveys calm and meditative vibes but also a lot of energy.

This piano instrumental transports the listener to a tranquil Japanese bamboo grove. The gentle, repetitive melodies and soothing harmonies create a sense of calm and serenity, inviting the listener to find inner peace and contemplation. The delicate, gentle touch of the pianist adds to the soothing atmosphere, drawing the listener into a state of deep relaxation. The music is evocative and compelling, inviting the listener to close their eyes and escape into the beautiful world of the bamboo grove.

Consisting of only the piano as the sole instrument, Jade Ashtangini weaves a magical tapestry of musical storytelling with her contemporary classical performance.
