Dom Malin – All I Know | Over The Sea

UK Indie folk singer-songwriter Dom Malin casts magic with his latest single All I Know. Malin got his first electric guitar when he was twelve and grew to pursue a university degree in Music and work as a teacher in a creative college. He has been featured on BBC Introducing Lincolnshire. The single artwork itself catches your eye with a figure standing across the water and a cliff, with his head coloured away in light purple, blue, brown, and white tones. It manages to bewitch you in a short duration of about four minutes.

The song is a sweet serene beautiful ballad with a primarily acoustic guitar arrangement. Malin’s vocals are subdued and performed with finesse evoking strong emotions out of the listener. A beautiful and haunting song that captures raw emotion with a sparse arrangement, setting a melancholic tone. As the song progresses, the arrangement builds to a climax, which feels soaring, passionate, and lush . The sparse production allows each instrument to shine and breathe through, giving the song a raw and intimate feel. The vocal melodies are captivating and emotionally resonant, and the songwriting is sparse and poetic.

Dom Malin would make proud his artistic influences like Bon Iver, The Lumineers, Damien Rice, and Lana Del Rey. His music is poetic, and full of life while his music truly stirs emotions with his expressive compositional style. Overall, with All I Know, Malin crafts a beautiful heartfelt indie folk ballad that will tug at your heartstrings. This is a beautiful and powerful song that showcases Dom’s unique sound and songwriting skills. It is a song that will stay with the listener long after the last note fades away.
