Barrry Tierney is an international award-winning folk singer-songwriter from Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland. Coming from a prestigious musical family, Barry has a distinct Irish touch to his voice and songwriting, and comes from a prestigious musical background. Having topped the Irish iTunes Charts in 2014 for his album ‘Hotel Alamar’, Barry bagged a lifetime publishing deal with Universal Music Berlin. He has also received songwriting awards by respected names of the industry such as Robin Gibbs of The Bee Gees, and won the IMRO sponsored Sean McCarthy writing festival.
Barry has toured internationally for 6 months a year since 2014, including countries like the US, Russia, UK and Germany.
The artist is now back with a distinct folk sound on his new single “Colours of Canvas”. Produced by Connor O’Sullivan, “Colours in Canvas” features acoustic guitar and vocals by Barry himself. With a firm yet smooth voice, Barry takes you through a beautifully crafted montage of events that took place in and around Cork City and County. Decorated by various folk instruments played by musicians including Isaac Alderson and Jason Turk, and beautifully arranged vocal harmonies, this song has a relaxing country-ish ambience.
