Eddie Cohn – Dystopian Days | Ingenious

Eddie Cohn, based in Los Angeles, has recently released his new album ‘Dystopian Days,’ which really is packed of delightful surprises. The album is diverse and adds a lot of production pizzazz to the scene. This should ideally inspire and offer witness to a large number of new musicians to attempt to be adventurous while being musically acceptable. Eddie Cohn’s vocal talents on the album have brilliantly proven his uniqueness. He sounds just like himself, and his personality and tastes are apparent all throughout songs. He’s clearly carving out his own niche and building his own identity in the scene. That is very exciting!

Starting at the beginning, with ‘Broken Pieces,’ Eddie Cohn skilfully sets the tone for the tunes that follow. The tune’s cheerful enthusiasm is a good choice for the album’s first track. Eddie is absolutely establishing the correct expectations. Listeners would begin by hearing from his point of view. His strength would be his ability to easily crossover across several genres at the same time. There are uncommon patterns of merging several styles and then forming a soundscape. To be able to integrate components so smoothly, it takes a great deal of knowledge, study, and understanding.

We tend to listen to Eddie’s songwriting following ‘Freedom.’ As previously said, his voice texture is so distinct that it may be regarded as original and truthful on its own. The rhythm production is fantastic. You may hear aspects of breakbeat and afro dance beats mingled in with synthetic sounds. The energy is on the rise. The harmonies provide visual clues that place you in the centre of all of it. ‘Underwater‘ transports you to a whole new world, yet Eddie ensures that the tone remains constant. The violin bowing are the key components. The concepts are fresh, and it appears like he let the music glide gently downhill. The soundscape from the preceding track, ‘Underwater,’ is expanded and explored further in ‘Animals.’ My attention was instantly drawn to the chorus. It has the property of being memorable. The album delves further into the string parts.

‘What Do You Want from Me?‘ is bright and energetic, yet the guitar riff will keep you on your toes. The soundscape becomes more diverse here. However, the shift is beneficial and refreshes the experience. I’m still evaluating what he has to offer. The album’s title track, ‘Dystopian Days,‘ begins along similar lines, and beyond that, more and new ideas emerge. There are a couple great emotional turning points in the song that I really enjoyed. The double time drumming keeps it funky and provides swing to keep things vibrant and interested. A minute of ambient intro precedes ‘Be the Flame.‘ The stepping stones are made up of very mystical and delectable patches, and the addition of lute instruments further enhances the experience. The fiddles are fantastic. The transitions may contain new components, yet they are so nicely integrated with the atmosphere. The outro is phenomenal!

Eddie’s high-spirited and fast-paced style helps keep the excitement rolling with ‘Runaway.‘ The mind simply soars along with the tunes. The Drum output is excellent. He’s exactly creating the proper noise to make us want to flee. He’s soothing us down with ‘Kill Silently.’ The employment of the correct pace one after the other and their intelligent placement is a strategic triumph. The final tune is contemplative and personal. The songwriting is excellent. The track progressively builds up until the final build up. Eddie’s insightful and daring ideas provided us with a new sound to experience and discover further on. With in latest fad, such reinventing mindsets are few. His sincerity is most likely what makes his compositions seem so remarkable and pertinent at the same time. He understands experimenting and how to tailor a notion in a much simpler manner. Despite the fact that the structures were new, they never felt isolated.
