Žemyna & Yorige – Kalėdų Belaukiant | Soulful

Welcome to the brand-new neo-folk music project Yorige! Aaron Fross and producer Niels Bakx have teamed up to create this exciting new project. Since 2007, Aaron and Niels have collaborated on a variety of projects, but they have just now decided to form an official duo for their neo-folk music endeavor. Aaron and Niels, through their project YORIGE, are working to promote traditional treasures and boost national confidence and awareness. By modernizing these art and historical legacies, they’re ensuring that they’ll be around for future generations to enjoy. This is especially important right now, in light of the current political climate. Aaron and Niels are ensuring that these traditions will not only be preserved but also given new life.

Yorige’s new single “Kalėdų Belaukiant” ,from the upcoming collaboration EP with Žemyna Trinkūnaitė, is heart-touching. Many people think of Christmas as a time for friends and family to get together and celebrate. However, for some, Christmas can be a time of loneliness and remembering loved ones who are no longer with us. “Kalėdų Belaukiant,”  which translates to “Awaiting Christmas,” is a reminder that our loved ones are always with us, even if they are not physically present. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a song that has moved me so deeply. The lyrics are so incredibly beautiful, and the melody is so incredibly calming. A fascinating composition with a soothing melody and poetic verses. It is a song whose colors are varied and unique. It’s like the track is giving me a big hug, and I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful. “Kalėdų Belaukiant” has a melancholy undertone that serves as a reminder that not everyone can be with us during the holiday season. Despite the sad tone of the song, the production is beautiful, with the gentle instruments and ethereal vocals creating a sense of hope and nostalgia. Whether you are spending Christmas alone or with loved ones, “Kalėdų Belaukiant” reminds us that those who have passed away are still with us in spirit. Enjoy listening and let yourself be carried away by the magic of soothing composition, which will accompany you on a journey of goodbyes and farewells.
