State Assembly is a project by London-based artist named Steve Youll. Their tracks are an innovative intertwining of alternative music woven beautifully with indie-rock and electronic music. The beautiful symphonic collision of the three worlds is State Assembly. With a diverse discography of 2 singles and 2 EP’s, State Assembly projects a strong exhibition of versatility. Each of their track is a a delight to the listener’s ears. Their older work, ‘Stay’ is one of my favorite and a must listen for anyone who enjoys some strong alternative music.
State Assembly has recently released a new single ‘Here Summer’ which is as innovative as it gets. The mellow feels of the song is miraculously healing. The smooth flow of music entices your heart and touches your deepest thought. The musical elements are curated with perfection which makes this song one of the best alternative songs of the year. The drums are innovative and something you wouldn’t have ever listened to. Each beat will make your foot move with the groove. The melodies engulf the vocals perfectly and creates a whole different aura bewitching the listener. The soothing guitar plucks prove a certain depth to the song which is really uncommon nowadays.
The song is addictive and puts you in a trance. This is a track no one should miss out on. The perfect mixture of electronic music with alternative and indie rock genre is like a cherry on top.
