Pacific K, INGAJA – Bullet | Enthralling

Five years ago, Pacific K, aka Kristaph Bedritis introduced the world to his meditative indie/rock music with the release of their debut EP – Blue Fall. He has put out a constant stream of well-received singles since then and is best known for his tracks “Misty Roads” and “Solitude”.  The Latvian singer-songwriter recently came out with a melancholic rock track called “Bullet” in collaboration with Lithuanian singer-songwriter INGAJA, featuring a captivating sound that is familiar and new in its own special way.

The track begins with a reverb-drenched guitar progression that creates an atmosphere that seems to unite sadness and pleasure. “Can’t help myself / Keep thinking about the mess you made / Why the feeling grows / The feeling grows / Thought you could run away / Without bearing the blame / But your touching shows .” Pacific K and INGAJA explore themes of loss and pain with this song. Using a mix of guitars and an energetic percussion loop as tools of expression, the artists deliver an enthralling performance that will surely have you reeled in till the very end.

As the track progresses, a crunchy yet mellow guitar lead carries the chorus into INGAJA’s verse. She sings a hauntingly beautiful melody over the lush instrumentals and is accompanied by Pacific K. The two-part harmony adds some more colour to the track, further enhancing its exquisite sound. “Bullet” ends with that beautiful acoustic guitar melody with all the right harmonics; a solid end to a fantastic composition. Pacific K sure does know how to write engaging music and “Bullet” is a great example of the kind of music he makes. Eager to hear more from the artists soon!
