Astralix, on “The Rhythm Fills My Soul”: A banger EDM debut

Gary Dranow, known for his notable singles such as Destiny Road and Sandy Beaches from the upcoming album “Never Give Up,” has opted to explore a different realm beyond his typical Blues Rock/Hard Rock genres on his debut single as Astralix, titled “The Rhythm Fills My Soul”– keep reading for my thoughts!

Venturing beyond his normal blues/hard rock sound, and this time stepping into electronic dance music, “The Rhythm Fills My Soul” is a power-packed track filled with club-friendly, anthemic songwriting that is sure to get you grooving from the first beat. The guest vocalist here, Malena, does a bang-up job of holding the scene together with her wide open voice, and transcends between registers rather well, and that is something I quite liked in the duration of me listening to this song.

The production follows, largely, a bass house sound, with the synths and the sound design to back it up– replete with plucky, bright synth chords, reversed vocals, and low, rumbling sub bass. The mixing and mastering, too, are worth a mention here, as they really let the chord synths shine through, and fun touches like the exhausts are well appreciated, too.
