Creating a lyrical puzzle
With lyrics that Michael Stipe would be proud to say are his, Giack Bazz doesn’t want to lay this down in simplicity. There are layered bends, guitar walls and punchy percussion that sprays on the canvas. Giack uses the rest of his imagination to make something more specific. More than a Jackson Pollack, less abstract than Rene Magritte. There are swipes through different elements, while still making his own style, a framed deliberation piece. The minimal background during the verse brings a whole other state of gravity to the lyrical complexities. These are the kind of concepts that Giack Bazz likes to push into, known for his meta work in his Haikufy album. There’s a lot to unpack in this song, so check it out and let us know what you think!
