George Bolton’s Trancendental brings incredible trance energy with “Triumph”

George Bolton’s Trancendental is a step into the trance world you have never taken before. From a journey that has spanned 3 decades, there is a lot to learn and explore from the kind of sound George Bolton synthesises. It might be nothing like anything you have ever heard before. This is his latest album, Triumph-packed with some of the best music he has made.

It is important to note when George Bolton’s Transcendental began. This is at the time when the movement was barely at its incipience. Through all these years, George has upped the mantle, with the kind of music he has made. Constantly updating with technology, sound and the microwaves that constantly happen, he has evolved through it all. Triumph is the opening single here, and is a digital dialogue with volume and style. It is a technical masterpiece, with vocals spliced masterfully with a thick, distorted bass line.

Though some sounds are experimental, there are some constants that keep us anchored to the trance sound we are used to. The build is slow, then a soothing beat comes and puts it all at ease. The kind of lead elements chosen are precise, and are allowed to breathe before the next transition comes in terms of effects. Drown in Your Love is another instant favourite, with the kind of instrumental energy that is put out. Beats are lay down with purpose and flow, creating an incredible ambience to delve into.

The vocals he chooses are incredibly well suited for the songs he puts them in. They are the repose, the character and also the contrast needed to completely lock in with the beat. Softer tracks like Glorious are centred towards a core melody that becomes super catchy and interesting. George Bolton’s Transcendental is the building blocks of this genre in the indie scene, and what has been created is absolutely breathtaking.

Put on a pair of headphones for the whole thing, and the drug-devoid trip is going to be worth it. Sounds made in tracks like Summertime are mastered to a whole other degree, where spatial play is the central theme. They surround you with purpose and positivity, making for a euphoric collection of tracks that you can dance and lose yourself to.

Numbers like Water Sprite are the kind that dissolve you into the musical moment. It is a brilliant infusion of classic trance times with the details that make the genre so special. It is constant experimentation and growth that has brought him to become one of the pioneers in the indie realm. George Bolton’s Transcendental is the kind of music that pushes for stretching the genre into new dimensions. You can check out the album here, and follow George Bolton for more like this!
