Fury of a Dying Planet bring the learning of metal with “Repetition to Extinction”

Fury of a Dying Planet combines some of the best themes in metal to uncover the horror of the world we live in. Introspective, probing yet never losing the melodic touch is what Doug and Paul Brigstock bring with this kind of project. Their first single has had some great airplay, with the kind of melodies that settle in your cranium. This is their latest, Repetition to Extinction.

Fury of a Dying Planet breaks the mould

There is a powerful dissonance the choice of chords and notes leave. Fury of a Dying Planet open with an explosive understanding, a message that gets buried in the media circus. The chugging guitar riff immediately brings the thunder to the song. Sensitive undertones follow with the dystopian layer of the pianos, engineered well enough to be heard distinctly. The time signature play is heard during the chorus-really driving home the point in the well written, crystal clear lyrics. Mastery also lies in the way they deliver the tones, especially how it accents the message often. Paul Brigstock brings the vocals of a man in pain, while harmonics during the breakdown show us that this band isn’t kidding around. To think it all began with a Netflix documentary makes you wonder about inspiration and life.

You can enjoy the instrumental version of this single as well. Bloodied Fjords is their debut you must check out for some A class composition techniques. This project means something more than us, and the messages are clear and important. Fury of a Dying Planet is the translation of ignorance and rage that is whittled into songs of matter. Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
