Cries of Redemption bring an energetic flow of incredible metal with “Torn”

Cries of Redemption has been a metal revival of proportions the indie world was not ready to hear. Ed Silva might be a low-key artist, but he hasn’t told the riffs he writes that detail. With an explosive flavour of metal that blends technical finesse with headbang-able riff explosions, you never know what you’re going to get. Just that you’re going to like it a whole lot. This one is a collaboration between vocalist sriracha and CoR. This is called Torn

Metal energies

For an emotive song of this nature, the track does open with a lethal riff. Peppered with notes, you can hear the song build from the very opening. The moment the vocals enter, the riff leads with a certain energy that is mimicked by sriracha. I love how the drums fill in parts that are carrying the rhythm with some more pent-up energy. Cries of Redemption is incredible at writing these kinds of riffs – inspired by some of the biggest acts of metal yet has a fingerprint that is uniquely his.

As the vocals progress, each volume is dealt with a deeper stroke of melodic finesse. Guitar tones are spliced carefully to hear the full, rich tone of the rhythm or the sharp elevated notes of the solo. Cries of Redemption is on a course to have compositions that bring the best of metal while making it a fruitful, collaborative process in spirit.

The new album Patterns also seems to be a promising continuation for the artist. With 11 songs and a deep concept in place, we’re looking at a lot of Part Is, promising a legacy of more such music to be made for listeners. Listen to this latest single here!:
