PosthumanX-Fear Reigns

PostHumanX release future deathcore class with their debut album “Fear Reigns”

PostHumanX is the evolution of deathcore, to new lore. From the SF Bay, they have been able to find a niche to be the necessary parasite of realisation-while tech bros and VC financiers flood the plains. They see the corrosion through the eyes we should, and narrate it with obliterating energy that is sure to set fire to Silicon Valley. In this album, they reflect societies next step while technology takes its express elevator to the top. This one is called Fear Reigns.

Opening with Bloodline, the band is able to give us a detailed breakdown of how well they understand the sound and vision. Guttural screams pair with blast beats to be the red pill they’re willing to share. Riffs annihilate any semblance of silence, with time signatures that you can head bang to but not quite place a finger on.

What defines PostHumanX?

Two vocal deliveries make the implosion dynamic enough. From goblin screams to guttural bellows, the band are able to depict fear in its clearest form, the way it is supposed to be seen. Reptile’s Blood has some really cool rhythm sections, with heavy guitar tones in pockets having some great bounces added to the track. PostHumanX are truly a step ahead, bringing a sound and delivery that move forward from deathcore. In parts you can hear them have infusions like Veil of Maya or Born of Osiris-while still staying true to the sound that inspired them to take their sound global.

In their debut, they leave no stones unturned, making a devilish entrance while singing of a legacy that might make your spine shiver if you weren’t this desensitized. Binary Devourment becomes more technical in its jump, almost trying to fight a digital ogre through the melodies. Vocals have some great entries and sustains in this track, while instrumental prowess shines through in most frames. PostHumanX is on a streak to really deliver the message the way it should be, crafting each part to be cohesive while having the brutal force to send the message in.

The future of deathcore, defined

In songs like I Am Your God-you can see the guttural echo of the vocals stay while the kick is out to exorcise you. With Izeovasis, they make a track called Project Nile. Now, when I talk about a successful collaboration in deathcore, this is what it’s supposed to sound like. Both their sounds come out in successful retaliation, while making something that is truly enjoyable. The digital distortion is a great touch, especially with the dissonant harmonies in the background.

A track like Grid of Flesh is something that shows their versatility, shifting away from the gattling gun opening you might be expecting. A melodic opening, with some proper riff execution, makes this kind of album one that they will remain proud as hell to release. PostHumanX are the future of how this genre is supposed to sound, fighting the good fight against what will ruin us soon; fear:
