In ‘Unfair’, the sonicality becomes more vulnerable with a subtle ache in the melody that grips the senses beautifully. ‘Sunshine’ reminds you of happiness, but from a distance. The very prominent restraint evokes a longing for the “sunshine” that lingers soulfully. The closer ‘Velvet’ sounds like a hopeful conclusion that still leaves behind an intelligible emotional residue.
Between smooth modern electronica and ambient dream pop, the EP sits in perfectly, establishing its own distinct fervour. With an emotional and artistic cohesion that’s worth admiring, Nevler’s every second of art feels deeply intentional and thought out. This one’s totally worth listening to!
