Some songs feel like they were made in a spotless studio with every second carefully cleaned up. “Where You Begin” by The Sunday Shamans goes the complete opposite way, and honestly, that’s why it works so well.
The guitars slide in with these thick, descending riffs that sound slightly messy, slightly dangerous, and completely addictive. It has that “everyone in the band is locked in and vibing” energy that makes you wish you were hearing it live in some tiny venue with bad lighting and overpriced drinks.

The coolest part is how natural everything feels. Nothing sounds forced. The song drifts between psychedelic rock moods and classic indie swag. One moment the guitars feel dreamy and hypnotic, the next they hit with enough grit to shake you awake again.
And honestly, that balance is hard to pull off. Plenty of rock songs either disappear into endless fuzz or get too caught up in sounding emotional. The Sunday Shamans manage to keep things thoughtful while still sounding like they’re having a great time making noise together.
