The latest project, Shaker Bloomheart, from Mike Batzer (of Vin Mariani) and Brad Shults (formerly of NW punk band Black Chicken and Seattle’s folk/rock outfit The July Storms), features Rebecca Morin on drums, creating a sound ready to captivate the Northwest. Shaker Bloomheart combines punk and indie pop into a danceable, funky mix, quickly winning over Seattle audiences with their catchy hooks and engaging stage presence. Formed through a Craigslist ad in late 2021, the trio, with deep roots in the Seattle music scene, has spent the past year perfecting a high-energy live set, recording an EP, and delivering electrifying performances across the Northwest.
Shaker Bloomheart’s new EP “Nobody’s Perfect And So Can You” opens strongly with the single “I Will Rupture And Die.” This track packs an emotional wallop spanning nearly 15 minutes. It draws you in with an engaging rhythm and signature riffs that demonstrate Bloomheart’s mastery of his craft. As the song progresses, the electric guitar work is woven intricately into the texture, bringing an authentic live music feel.
