Hailing from Kitchener, Ontario, Gottfried is a seasoned musician and session player, having played alongside renowned musicians such as Pino Palladino (Peter Townsend, Tears for Fears, John Mayer), Gregg Dechert (David Gilmour), Breen Leboeuf (Celine Dion). Here he brings forth his prowess to deliver an electrifying experience.

With a nod to the carefree days of youth, “Live, Fight & Die” aims to express the rebellious spirit of the past. Using the imagery of rats, living on the edge, craving the thrill of the moment. The song’s solid songwriting by bd Gottfried captures this essence flawlessly.

The bed of distorted rhythm chords provide the gritty base for this alternative hard rock song. The keys/piano add a very nice flavour and harmonic character to the song. Energetic drumming that will pump you up. It features a phenomena guitar solo that expresses and roars. Brilliantly produced and co-written with Juno award winner Siegfried Meier, the track shines through in the production quality, delivering a grand, larger-than-life sound.

“Live, Fight & Die” by bd Gottfried is a rock anthem that is expressive, retrospective, and contemplative. A celebration of the thrill of youth with the enduring spirit of rock.
