Born in Ukraine, Paul Cafcae was immersed in the folk music traditions of Eastern Europe in his early years. As a high school student in Maryland, he began writing his own songs and playing in bands. Cafcae spent several years based in Europe, performing throughout Germany and France and bringing his eclectic blend of styles to stages in North America as well. Now calling Toronto home, Cafcae is signed to Pine Needle Records and has emerged as an exciting new voice on the Americana circuit. Blending folk, country, and blues influences with transatlantic inspiration in his lyrics, Cafcae crafts engaging songs that highlight his gift for storytelling.
