After marrying a German and relocating overseas, she found success as a singer-songwriter in Europe. However, she eventually stepped back from the music scene to start a family in Columbus, Ohio. Tragedy struck when her husband suffered a debilitating brain aneurysm, prompting Kim to return to music as a form of therapy. Her experiences with grief and trauma inspired a collection of poignant songs.
