Samuel Aaron Reynolds, the creative force behind Spoonbend, is a lifelong musician and writer from Frenchport, Arkansas, a small community on the Ouachita River known for its blend of Southern culture and wildlife. Collaborating with Southern music shaman and producer Jimbo Mathus, Spoonbend was born, with recording sessions at the renowned Muscle Shoals Sound. Drawing from 37 years of experience and the essence of Arkansas, Reynolds crafted a powerful and emotionally charged album. It serves as a voice for the voiceless, offering solace to those marginalized by society’s challenges.
I had the pleasure of listening to Spoonbend’s debut single, “Path of Destruction.” From the opening bars, it’s clear this retro rocker is destined to be a fan favorite. Driven by crisp guitars and piledriving drums, the track bursts out of the gates with kinetic energy.
