Tillerman – Hear Angels Cry

The Tillerman gang is a classic-rock and pop four-piece band from Leeds. With nostalgic sonics and poetic lyricism, their songs make for vivid experiences. Using astoundingly simple pallets, the band crafts beguiling worlds that have a wealth of emotional implications. In their new single, Hear Angels Cry, Tillerman explore the melancholia of helplessness and innocence. Redolent of iconic emo-rock styles of the 80s, listeners of The Carpenters and Everly Brothers are sure to enjoy the comradery and sound of this band.

The soundscape has a glistening gloom going for it. Its misty melancholia is accentuated by luminous guitar melodies and memorable vocals. With dreamy sensibilities and celestial majesty, the song takes the form of a swirling mass that is both hypnotizing and clarifying.

Originally called, Satellite, the band toured and gigged in the general Leeds area before taking a hiatus in 2011. But, the persistent itch to create and compose compelled a reunion in 2018 which led to the release of their first track, Hold Me Haunt Me, under their current banner. With brothers Jon and Tom on vocals, guitar and drums, Shaun Mallia on the lead guitars, and Iain Moyser on the bass, Tillerman is an experience that you don’t want to miss!
