Summer Rain – Leave This Town | Youthful

Summer Rain’s most recent single, “Leave This Town“, provides a highly upbeat and happy atmosphere. The song is inspired by the band’s hometown of Qualicum Beach, Canada, where there are more retirement homes than you can shake a denture at. In their writings, they have a young quality that is relatable. In reality, the arrangements are meticulous, and they successfully preserve the mood until the very end.

Will McLelland (guitar, vocals), Josh Beausoleil (bass, vocals), and Logan Hale (drums, slide whistle) make up Summer Rain. Their sound embodies the attitude of modern-rock greats like Coldplay, Kings of Leon, and Oasis (among many others) without pushing a generic sound or image. They’re a mash-up of personalities, high-octane performances, and songs designed for shower singing.

The vocals provide the foundation of the song, with the drums emphasising the initial beat. On top of that, the vocal harmonies round out the tone. The guitar tone that was utilised to fill in the gaps was extremely enjoyable, and it finally led to a magnificent solo. The performances are really well-coordinated. The band is quite tight and has a consistent sound. The key modulation is quite smooth, and it adds a lot of punch to the arrangement while also helping to keep the intensity up until the very final second. There are no instruments or voices that overshadow one another. Furthermore, the lyrics make you feel wonderful and have a lot of openness to them.

It truly raises some pretty important topics that will most likely prompt you to reflect on your own aspirations and how you could have imagined living your life. Summer Rain’s message is to interpret reality in a way that puts you at ease in the face of uncertainty and misfortune, and to be confident in making positive changes to your own life and the world around you is certainly of notice.
