Following the release of her most popular single to date, ‘Got Me Moving’, Italian-American singer-songwriter Victoria Taylor recently came out with another banging pop track called ‘Pull Up‘. Featuring rapper LOVE IAN, this track follows a standard dance groove, and structure, with just the right amount of bounce. A fantastic production with sounds both fresh and familiar!
‘Pull Up’ begins with a vocal-chop sample that loops throughout the track along with a rising drum beat. Following the traditional dance music kick-snare pattern, the track begins with a repetitive chorus hook that gets the listener acquainted with the initial groove of the track. Victoria’s sings in a sultry tone right from the start and showcases her flawless performance ability as the track progresses. Accompanied by a soft bass and a few vocal harmonies, the track develops with the verses and continues on to LOVE IAN’s tight rap verse.
“You know that I’m honest / You know I got options / I ain’t with the games I’m just hoping that you’re stopping / Baby you should pull up and we can get it popping / You can get your friends if you’re down to ménage yeah”.
With confident singing and strong vocal delivery, LOVE IAN gets into the mood and shares an appealing verse that creates just the right amount of tension for the final chorus. Victoria’s powerful vocals are surely the highlight of this almost three-minute-long track. Her final chorus brings up the energy of the song to another level! A powerful end to a really fun and upbeat single!
