Mykell Messiah – Two Wrongs | Throbbin Neon

Canadian producer and singer-songwriter Mykell Messiah treats us to an upbeat dance-pop track on romantic crises with Two Wrongs. Two Wrongs is Mykell’s latest single and first release of the year. The Toronto-based R&B musician has roots in gospel music and broadway. His Show Me crossed a million views on Youtube and more than a million cumulative streams on Spotify for his discography so far. Mykell Messiah has worked with artists like Frank Ocean, Ne-Yo, and 50 Cent.

The track begins with a signature synth riff which forms the backbone of the song. We hear some chimney harmonic elements as we proceed into the chorus. Robotic vocal effects are a neat sprinkling to the song production. The beat on the track has a strong pulsating vibe which keeps the listener hooked. Having a bridge without the rhythm is another point in the track where we wait for the hook melody to return. The song deals with the dilemmas facing a relationship whose time might have come to pass. Two Wrongs is released from the label Morojele Music Group which he heads. Morojele has launched Canadian R&B singer Dru with his hit singles “Stay With Me(Always), Gooding “Running” single ft Dru, and Doman.

Mykell’s vocals are in the contemporary R&B style while the song has a dance/club feel. The high-tempo rhythm is the perfect canvass for Mykell’s singing and stunning production. The song has a strong night neon vibe, something you would wanna play while driving in the nocturnal city lights. This is a song that would be welcome on GTA vice city soundtrack. Two Wrongs is an emotionally expressive funky disco electropop number that exploits the synthwave genre to outstanding effect.
