Fresh from their latest album, Swedish fiery melodic heavy metal band Pressure, present us with their new baked single Change Me. With their heavy music, seeped in emotions and the yin and yang of life, the band has carved themselves a unique space. The music of Pressure is not done justice with the mere label of melodic rock. With narrative and stories at the heart of the music, they term their music story metal. And as we know, ultimately the best songs tell compelling stories.
Commencing with a galloping and dirty guitar riff and a steady beat. This has some sweet and tasty guitar licks laid on them. The verses seep in with some gritty and emotive vocals by Belarusian Olli Violet and Olof Jönsson. Some truly blazing guitar lead lines act as a harmonic counterpoint. Tight bass lines by session bassist Ignacio Arrúa form the harmonic and rhythmic backbone of the song. With his white Gibson Flying V guitar, Simon “Siirpo” Forsell is the master behind the guitars, drums, and keys in Pressure. A force to be reckoned with.
The song thematically deals with the struggles of perennial change and acceptance from each other. It is a conversation between the two protagonists with the music acting as a bridge in the narrative.
Pressure is based in Stockholm and signed with Xing Records with whom they have released two albums Path Of A Shadow and In A Dark Heart We Trust. With Change Me, Pressure is going further into solidifying their name into an act that packs a punch with volcanic power.
