California Condor is a balaclava you haven’t gotten a taste of yet. They fuse several layers of different genres. I could see them as a nu-Linkin Park style band. Their new track is called Illuminator, a well composed single with a blend of electronica, rock and even hints of nu-metal.
They’ve learnt new wats to display and tell tales through their music. Songs like Reversed eVOL are a world away from ILLUMINATOR if you are divisive by genres. However, California Condor pride themselves on creating these catchy hooks, flowing through moments of prog rock and melodic metal in moments. Their instrumentals are flawless, so everything is a synapse signal between what they want to express and play. Merging clean vocals and screams, they create sheets of effects to place on one another, some sounding like completely different songs.
The steampunk/apocalyptic approach resonates with me as a fan of sci-fi. If this is how they grace the stage generally, listeners are in for a visual and sonic treat. Their variation in sounds allows for a lot of experimentation, and they have found a niche, though the sound evolves invariably. A continuous barrage of music is available from these artists, so be sure to support them.
