Never In My Dreams is a love song from the cutest perspective, of seeing your significant other in everything in your everyday life except that which you have no control over, your dreams. This causes unapologetic romantic Dominic Romano to demand answers from the universe, why his love cannot follow him into his subconscious mind.
It’s a quirky concept that uses long dramatic synths and dreamy production, and the hushed sweet lyrics from Romano to present itself as a genuine conundrum, but in a sweet way as if to say the absence is unbearable. Perhaps I lack the romanticism to truly appreciate what Never In My Dreams is getting at? Regardless, it utilises an angelic production that makes for a delightfully soothing listen and also gives you the fuzzies. Featuring blog-favourite Luna Keller as an alternate vocalist, the pair duet in harmonic whisper-singing to create a delicate and pleasant soundscape. Do check it out right here:
