Avi Kytes Debuts his Jazz-Pop Style with his Single, “Roll Over”
Avi Kytes is the brainchild of London based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Alex Rigueiro. His soundscape is flush with mellow synths and fluid ambience. Avi Kytes has just released his debut single, Roll Over. Free-flowing with thematic sentiment and real time emotions, the smooth fabric is cultivated with melodic pop, velvet jazz elements and refreshing acoustics.
The song is an exercise in surreal and dreamy pop. Evasive funk wisps and neon synths roll into each other to build an intimate harmony between the music and the listener. His style is reminiscent of FKJ’s synth design and Clairo’s bedroom pop. Listeners of Tom Misch and Glass Animals will also enjoy the buoyant tints of the track.
The project, Avi Kytes, was born out of the artist’s interest to explore the intricacies of the human experience. Under its banner, Alex sets out to trace human emotions, social confusions, and inner conflicts of daily life. He weaves contemporary pop spells with sonic threads and pallets inspired by the 80s.
