This is an emotional piano based pop ballad. It builds up towards the end but still maintains only vocals and piano in the arrangement. The production here makes it sound quite cinematic and soundscapy despite the minimal and sparse elements. The song is really reflective and was written during a period of autistic burnout. Antoin describes it as emerging spontaneously from a state of sensory and emotional overload, “where language and structure began to fragment”. In terms of lyrics, it portrays feelings of disorientation and loss of purpose, expressed through some vivid visual imagery.

“Dead End” captures Gibson’s evolving artistry. It’s really bold to turn vulnerability into a creative force. The song’s stark beauty lies in its restraint. Every pause and silence feels quite deliberate. Instead of being a ballad of despair, it functions and is quite proudly a \ statement of survival. Quite righty, self-expression can transform even exhaustion into something shining and real.

This track is meant to be a personal document of a mental health ordeal and also quite importantly, a gesture of solidarity with others. Especially those who experience neurodivergence or daily life exhaustion. They sure would relate to the songwriting here.
