Miira remind us of incredible classic rock with their upcoming single, “Zordaar”

Miira are not here to plead to the trending pulses that modern pop and rock are feeding you. This is that old time rock and roll feel that pulses with life, requires passion and talent to execute. Their upcoming release is called Zordaar, and I don’t have much to add other than say what a brilliant return it is going to be.

Joel, Eddie & Rajeev return for this one-and the single features guest guitarist Sathvik Kondepogu as well. They’ve put their energy together to formulate a salute to classic rock that made a lot of our childhoods. Remember that movie Rock On (2008), that drove so many Indian kids to buy a guitar. This looks and sounds like the band that inspired that. These are seasoned rockers, you can hear by how they compose their progressions and love for distorted tones. This is how a rock anthem tailored for India is supposed to sound like- and they’ve displayed it with an undying resolve to keep this salt of rock in India alive.

The indie rock movement, returns

The music video is shot on a helipad, and I’m not going to give you any more spoilers than that. It’s fitting, for it requires precision, style and a whole lot of practiced skill. Miira are back in their element, and have control of all of them when they need it most. There’s no doubt you will be singing along to the chorus within the first listen. Effective, simple songwriting that makes for a memorable track.

These are the kind of lyrics that make you hone into the song as well. Not some shuffle of random wordings that appeal to the pop lover in you. A punchy riff peppering, anointed with lyrics that are zealous and have gravitas. Also, welcome back the classic guitar solo that gives the word “anthem” meaning.

Miira are just making their return, and this is just an expected introduction that will stay as a prelude. The band is expected to release many more tracks, so make sure you follow them on socials & on Spotify to get their latest releases. For now, they present to you, Zordaar:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
