Technically, Mason Summit isn’t wrong. If you take this entire lifespan, and death is the outlet, we are circling the drain. Sure, call it nihilism or fun word play, he brings a class melody and arrangement to it. The soft percussion and minimal chord progression accents his soft vocals. Chorus parts have a swift transition that is quite rare to hear in music like this. Accent parts bring some stylish twists to the song’s structure, as Mason Summit wants you to enjoy the lyrics more than anything. Call him a funny Paul Simon, for he isn’t treading lightly on what he has thought out. When the instruments withdraw, Mason stands alone in front of the spotlight and speaks the truth. The song is a wonderful mix of everything you’d want entertaining you.
