Mason Summit loves a pun with his latest funny single, “Circling the Drain”

Mason Summit brings the levity and length to melodies as a musician. Using his unique compositional prowess and undeniable charm, there is BDE exuded with just a six-string and some poetry. Though you won’t see the hilarity come in sometimes, he puts it obvious and on the nose some other times for people to hear and enjoy. His latest single is called Circling the Drain. When nature calls?

Get your head out of the gutter

Technically, Mason Summit isn’t wrong. If you take this entire lifespan, and death is the outlet, we are circling the drain. Sure, call it nihilism or fun word play, he brings a class melody and arrangement to it. The soft percussion and minimal chord progression accents his soft vocals. Chorus parts have a swift transition that is quite rare to hear in music like this. Accent parts bring some stylish twists to the song’s structure, as Mason Summit wants you to enjoy the lyrics more than anything. Call him a funny Paul Simon, for he isn’t treading lightly on what he has thought out. When the instruments withdraw, Mason stands alone in front of the spotlight and speaks the truth. The song is a wonderful mix of everything you’d want entertaining you.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
