“The first one shows us how to stay alive. The other shows us how to live”, Gimmell’s latest song is a cicerone to those seeking. When a song like this comes to your playlist, it’s fate trying to tell you that life is a momentous affair. And, seeking center stage is the wisdom from the experiences one has been living. Bob Gimmell’s ‘Lesson Number 2’ is the new track to take if one is a seeker on this path.
The song is a seamless blend of country and folk with a unique composition style. There are two parts to the song, the first half with its gentle guitar, slow drum beats and subtle piano carries deep wisdom in the lyrics. A tribal-style vocal percussion distinctly separates the second half, introducing electric bass riffs as the song picks up faster beats coupled with experiential lyrics.
