Javi Carabalí can bring the essence of a place to you with his music. This talented musician is inspired by many great artists throughout the decades. Some of the more obvious ones are Santana, Guerra & Sean Paul, who know how to bring the vernacular essence while still having a global approach on their music. His latest album Tripletazo #2 Con Tu Amor is a brilliant collection of grooves that make you want to dance. Time to salsa? Si.
Con Tu Amor is the opening single that brings this dance essence to you instantly. From the melodies to the vocals, you are transported to the sunny, toasty beaches around the world where life is a party. When you’re dropped here, it is the rhythmic ravine that will transport you to a splendid dance floor. Javi Carabalí collaborates with Laoma Chavaco to get some great vocals in, as he leads the mood on. It is incredible guitar precision and suave he displays, it is like seeing some of the best musicians in their prime. With the indie cloud of aura he has about him, Javi makes this a memorable opening track for this EP.

Lali & Javi Carabalí make a groove that will etch itself in your brain. His guitar tones are the highlight in this one, a muddy, scratchy tone that contrast Lali’s soft, soothing flow. This is as great as Santana’s single with Lopez, where the vocals are offset by his genius guitar work. It is what makes the song memorable, from the frills to the catchy licks and the organic movement of the song. From a bluesy essence, he also knows when to leave a bubble open for the vocals and lyrics to shine. While we enjoy this, it leads into Gris. Here, the progression is king, just like Javi Carabalí. It is a tantalising tone that he puts across, catchy flow and ridiculously good tone just put across like it’s his daily bread and butter.
It is knowing when to add yourself to the mix that makes a great song. When Javi writes a solo song, he lets the groove dictate where he enters and exits. When he collaborates, both shine for the greater good of the song. They are at their melodic best in this music, and Javi is having the time of his life performing this music.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
