9 o’clock Nasty ring in the new year with rocking remix of “King Thing”

Time and place. 9 o’clock Nasty are shining a blazing hot torchlight at their song King Thing. Originally featured in By All Means Necessary (2022), we’re ready to give much deserved love to the track. This is the 2025 remix of the track, and there is some great mastering work that is at play here. Along with the band.

The bass and drum cohesion of King Thing was the bellowing highlight of the track earlier. It kind of overtook the groove and anthem overall. In this remix, 9 o’clock Nasty aim to put it in a pepper shaker, and give us an even profile of flavour. You know yourself, when have you ever deliberately eaten a whole peppercorn? The wah pedal infused guitar riff comes in soon after, establishing a sense of swagger you probably don’t have the fast fashion to carry. Care for the environment much? Boo-hoo, you aren’t king thing then. The Beastie Boys energy is laced into the track like a spiked drink. The only difference? You’re proud of the Polaroid memory renaissance the next day.

The attention to gentle, echoing melodies in the middle of the track cannot go unnoticed. Too addictive to listen to only once-your January on-repeat track for sure. Make sure you listen to Kid Blast and Too Cool as well. There’s always a story for your pub anecdotes with these guys, and the trio refuse to conform. Follow them on Twitter and Instagram as well. You’re just a jester, give it up for the King Thing:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
