The return of multi-instrumentalist engineer, producer, and entrepreneur Tash Sultana comes after the Sugar EP in 2023. This new single Milk And Honey is a deeply personal journey back to their roots as a looper and explores themes of fulfillment and fame.
Raw, trancey Milk And Honey holds something elemental, something built from a rock-reggae groove, and perhaps even more “a return to the beginning of why and how music made me feel in the first place when it was just ‘plug your shit in and jam,’‘ Tash said. The song took an hour or so to formulate, but that doesn’t escape the immediacy of an unplanned jam on some street corner outside.

“It was less structured and less focused on delivering a ‘hit,’” Tash Sultana said in a press statement. “I’ve seen a lot in my career as an artist and approaching a more mature side of it 10 years in. I’ve seen many fast lanes, been in many fast lanes, crashed the vehicle, rebuilt from the wreck, rehabbed my brain, and it always lands me in the same place—back to the start.”
Keeping it real to their own style, Tash Sultana has also done a marvellous job with the production. Their performance at the Lonely Lnds Studio is something that one needs to look forward to.
The music video for Milk And Honey has an interesting twist. Shot in a single take, it reflects the looping foundation of the track. The smooth execution highlights Tash’s creative process and raw artistry.
To celebrate the birthday bash, this time, for the third straight date, on June 20th, Australian folk-soul multi-instrumentalist will play at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Being an electrifying performer whom many consider as being an example of accomplishments that have gathered during their work for the span of ten years of life filled with a fearless knack for sonic exploration with the help of her mics and loopers.
